St. Mary's has been part of the Connecting Classrooms project with the British Council for many years. As part of the project we were delighted to welcome to St. Mary's, Sudarshan Subedi from Himalayan Whitehouse School, Kathmandu Nepal. Sudarshan has travelled to Northern Ireland with seven colleagues from Nepal to share good practice with staff and pupils here in Northern Ireland. Sudarshan was very impressed with the opportunities given to our pupils in St. Mary's and reminded them that their extra-curricular activities and voluntary work is just as important as their academic achievement. We hope that Sudarshan and the rest of the Nepalese group enjoy the rest of their stay in Northern Ireland and we look forward to working closely with them on a future project.
