On Tuesday 5th March, Barry Traynor came into school to speak about The Friends of Africa Street Children Project in Kitwe Zambia. Staff and students have been supporting this project for many years now and Barry came to thank the school for their contributions and talk about the many photos he brought back. Staff and pupils were delighted to see the impact of our fundraising efforts and we are more determined than ever to continue this good work especially during Lent. Lots of fundraising events will take place in the coming weeks and we would like to thank all the parents and friends of St. Mary’s who are always so generous in supporting our fundraising efforts for such a great cause. Many thanks to Barry for his time this morning and he certainly gave us all something to think about and be thankful for!
