St Mary's High School is actively working with Fr Donall O'Cathain SMA to support the development of education in Africa. As a Rights Respecting School, St Mary's works to improve the life opportunities of children in developing countries by supporting quality education. On Thursday 6th September, before travelling back to Africa, Fr Donall visited St Mary's to attend a special assembly where he spoke to the school community about his work in Africa. He praised the work of the students through their fundraising activities and curriculum links. Last year the school raised £2,500 for Fr Donall. To date, St Mary's has raised £40,000 to support his school building programme in Africa.
